2003 Cabernet Sauvignon

The market’s reception to our 2002 Cabernet exceeded our wildest dreams.  The year culminated in our first vintage being accorded a 90 rating by the Wine Enthusiast.  We succeeded in having our wine placed in great restaurants and wine shops in Florida, Virginia, Texas and Las Vegas, including The Wine Cask, Flemings, Ruth’s Chris, The Inn at Little Washington, Del Monicos, Bradley Ogden, HiTime Wines, The Red Carpet, Twenty Twenty as well as Press, The Rutherford Grill, Dean & DeLuca and The St. Helena Olive Oil Co. here in the Valley.  This positions us well for the release of our 2003 Cabernet.

The growing season for the 2003 crop was terrific; we celebrated the harvest on October 1st.  This allowed for excellent hang time and even and well-balanced fruit maturity.  The resulting wine is lush, well-structured and complex.  We, of course, continue to follow our meticulous viticultural practices that limit our yield; dropping more than 1 1/2 tons throughout the growing season.
