2005 Cabernet Sauvignon

Consistency (consistently wonderful, that is) appears to be the name of the game for us. The Wine Enthusiast has awarded us ratings of 90, 91 and 90 for our first three releases. Our continuing hard work in the vineyard and Jason’s in the winery, combined with strong acceptance by the trade (of our oddly named, ultra-small production), has resulted in our wine being added to wine lists in many more upscale restaurants and wine shops across the country.

Mother Nature rebounded for us in 2005 and we harvested a beautiful and bountiful crop for our fourth release. Our 2005 is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon for the first time. In July last year, we bottled 279 cases, plus a small quantity of half bottles and large formats.

The 2005 vintage continues to reflect our complex style, with a harmonious combination of power and elegance. Well-balanced red fruits combine with earth tones (Rutherford dust?!) to produce a very drinkable food-friendly wine that finishes with our trademark vanilla-caramel notes.
